Agency News

Wray Ward has named Mandy Lui Simmons resourcing director, an integral position that will further enhance the agency’s resource management and trafficking capabilities. In this position, Simmons will oversee agency resources to manage client goals and team workflow more acutely, ensuring the agency delivers excellent work, on time and on budget. Her role will complement Wray Ward’s ongoing dedication to seeking creative solutions in digital and print advertising, creative, insights, public relations and social media as her team navigates workloads, assigns talent and allocates resources across the agency’s disciplines.

“Every department’s needs are different, but the core resolution will be the same: Assign the right people to the right work, and ensure we’re prepared for this continued trajectory of growth,” said Justin McKeon, vice president and director of Delivery at Wray Ward. “We’ve been searching high and low for exactly the right person to fill this high-priority role, and we’re confident we’ve found the right mix of tenacity, expertise and positivity in Mandy.”

As resourcing director, Simmons will plan and support agency and client goals through the management of workflow efficiencies and project communications and be charged with developing strategic solutions to resourcing by supporting department leads, sourcing bench-strength talent and using existing systems to provide better forecasting for resourcing needs.

She has more than 10 years of advertising and marketing experience, working in positions such as traffic manager, media buyer/planner and production manager. Simmons also has a background in video production and most recently served as a senior producer at Fox Sports for nearly a decade, where she developed staff, managed creative calendars and supervised production.

Simmons relates the Resourcing team’s role to a game of Tetris. “We move and position our company’s resources (our talented team) to best fit our project and client needs,” she said. “Wray Ward values our employees’ time while also providing the best product and solutions for our clients.”

Simmons earned a bachelor’s in business administration in marketing from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in Honolulu, Hawaii.
