Four clients — Huber Engineered Woods, LEVOLOR, TOTO and VELUX Skylights — recognized by leading media group for innovative marketing strategies in 2018
Inspired marketing communications agency Wray Ward’s clients won three Platinum, one Gold and one Bronze 2018 Brand Builder Awards by Hanley Wood, the premier information, media, event and strategic marketing services company serving the residential and commercial design and construction industries. The winners were named at the 2019 International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas. This marks the agency’s sixth consecutive year being recognized in the awards program since the program’s inaugural announcement in 2013.
“The entries for this year’s Brand Builder Awards were outstanding,” said Jeff Meyers, CEO of Hanley Wood. “Their marketing approach, creative work and data-driven results are shaping and transforming our industry.”
Companies selected for recognition have executed campaigns that generate sales, motivate buying behavior and inspire customer loyalty. Winning client campaigns included:
- Best Advertising Campaign (Platinum) for LEVOLOR: Designed to reintroduce the brand, the Live Love LEVOLOR™ campaign captured the meaningful moments that lie within our daily interactions with blinds and shades and focused on the audience’s path to purchase. Tactics included beautiful photography, targeted digital ads, a national television commercial and an influencer partnership in the home improvement market.
- Best Channel Marketing Program (Platinum) for Huber Engineered Woods: The Huber Engineered Woods Prove It Tour™ is a mobile marketing experience making stops at lumber yards across the country for builders and framers to experience hands-on demonstrations of AdvanTech® flooring and ZIP System® sheathing and tape products. Wray Ward created captivating visuals for the Prove It Tour trailer, including outside wrap graphics and interior demonstration signage to convey product applications and benefits.
- Best Integrated Marketing Campaign (Platinum) for VELUX Skylights: By positioning the ceiling — or the fifth wall — as an essential yet untapped design space, VELUX skylights were marketed as an easy way to transform a home in ways traditional walls and windows cannot through a highly targeted programmatic display campaign, social executions, premium television placement and an influencer marketing program.
- Best Website Design & Marketing Strategy (Gold) for Huber Engineered Woods: The InsulateYourBuild.com landing page was created to help easily communicate the benefits of ZIP System’s exterior insulation product line, ZIP System® R-sheathing. Wray Ward designed and developed the product page to help provide code requirement and technical product information for builders and architects in an easy-to-find user experience.
- Best Advertising Campaign for TOTO (Bronze): In an effort to increase awareness and interest for the TOTO Washlet system among American consumers, the campaign filmed the faces of those experiencing a Washlet for the first time with a touch of humor. Close-ups of their reactions ran on HGTV, the Travel Channel, in digital and social campaigns and in the heart of Times Square.
“It is a privilege to collaborate with dynamic clients who are elevating and challenging the conversations in today’s builder industry,” said Jennifer Appleby, president and chief creative officer of Wray Ward. “Wray Ward is passionate about delivering results-driven work across a multitude of platforms, and we appreciate the recognition from a like-minded partner committed to the builder community like Hanley Wood.”
