Marketing communications agency Wray Ward has grown its creative group, hiring Sam Moustafa as senior copywriter and Ian Anderson as production designer.

“When we hire writers and designers today, we’re looking for individuals who can produce great work that gets great results,” said Jennifer Appleby, president and chief creative officer of Wray Ward. “Sam and Ian understand how to build creative that tells a story and motivates action, and we’re proud to welcome them to Wray Ward.”

Moustafa comes to Charlotte from Memphis, Tennessee. He has worked at agencies On Ideas, Possible Worldwide, Engauge and The Zimmerman Agency. Throughout his career, Moustafa has supported a wide variety of brands including Alarm.com, Club Med, Federal Department of Health, Procter & Gamble Co. and Wyndham Resorts. Originally from Memphis, he earned a bachelor of arts in communications with a concentration in advertising from the University of Tennessee. Moustafa also attended the Creative Circus in Atlanta, where he received a two-year specialty certification in copywriting and won a best copywriter student award.

Anderson joins Wray Ward’s creative team as production designer. A recent graduate of Appalachian State University with a bachelor of fine arts in graphic design, he is a member of the Charlotte chapter of AIGA, The Professional Association for Design. Anderson has worked as a freelance web designer and user interface (UI) designer, designing clean, intuitive visual web platforms and helping web development teams shape user experiences that are rich, responsive and cohesive. He is a Charlotte native.
