Wray Ward has named Rebecca Smith as client engagement executive director, leading the client engagement team in guiding the agency’s integrated programs and portfolio of brands to continued success. In this position, Smith will help the client engagement team prepare and implement plans that meet strategic brand objectives.
“Long-standing client relationships are a cornerstone of our business,” said Kent Panther, president and chief executive officer of Wray Ward. “Rebecca brings well-rounded expertise to this role and will continue to be a catalyst of new ideas and proven best practices for our client engagement team and the brands we serve.”
Smith joined Wray Ward in early 2022 as client engagement group director, managing programs for brands including Clopay, Broan-NuTone and ROCKWOOL. As client engagement executive director, Smith joins the agency’s executive leadership team and leads the client engagement team as they drive client successes on every front – strategy, performance and satisfaction.
Smith wields over 30 years of experience at agencies and in house. Prior to her work at Wray Ward, she spent six years as vice president of marketing at The Fresh Market, managing a team of nearly 40 people. From the launch of her career in London, United Kingdom, Smith held vice president, head of client services and account director roles at agencies including CFW London, The Martin Agency and Trone. In her tenure with those agencies, she managed brands including American Express, Shell, The British Army British Telecom, UPS, Walmart, Morgan Stanley, Norwegian Cruise Lines and TIAA.
“I am honored to step into this leadership role alongside a team immensely dedicated to delivering better-performing work and exceeding client expectations,” Smith said. “The creative minds at Wray Ward know no boundaries, and it is a privilege to represent the agency at this level.”
