Hammary, a La-Z-Boy company offering a wide variety of occasional, home office and accent furniture, is introducing six collections that combine vintage styles with the utility desired by today’s consumers.
“Our spring introductions are inspired by the past but truly live in the present,” said Terri James, director of marketing for Hammary. “The vintage trend is very popular with interior designers and consumers, and our new collections help achieve that look without sacrificing modern conveniences, like hidden storage and generous shelving.”
Hammary’s introductions for home office include Westin, a five-piece collection inspired by the flexibility and utility of mid-century modular furniture. A low-profile wall system with bookcase and credenza complements a double pedestal desk and features walnut veneers in a caramel finish. The two-piece, mixed-media Framework collection, inspired by decorative shelving from the Industrial Age, features a counter-height desk with a glass-top writing surface and a coordinating six-shelf bookcase.
Continuing the mid-century style trend is Alba, a four-piece collection that integrates subtle curves, clean chamfered tops and tapered legs in addition to modern conveniences, including a concealed power strip in the chairside table. Characterized by a square lift-top cocktail table with three movable tops, Facet features six pieces with soft edges, rounded corners and clean lines inspired by the simplicity of mid-century furniture but scaled for today’s casual lifestyle. Also influenced by the era but updated with a light and airy structure is Vantage, a three-piece collection featuring concealed storage and casters and a blackened oak finish.
The practical and functional eight-piece Parsons collection rounds out the introductions and incorporates the distressed vintage style popular in today’s eclectic interior designs. The collection features right angles and square posts associated with classic Parsons designs and the distressed sandalwood finish reveals a taupe and gray pine veneer.
“Hammary is well-known in the industry for offering on-trend collections and one-of-a-kind accent pieces that appeal to a variety of consumers,” James said. “This year, we also plan to roll out expanded services for interior designers, including adding a credit card processing option on our website, to make it easier for designers to access our offerings and do business with us.”
Hammary will also add 29 pieces to it popular Hidden Treasures collection of accent furniture from around the world.
The Hammary showroom is located at C926 in the International Home Furnishings Center.
