Crescent Communities has hired seasoned real estate marketing professional Paulette Caputo as marketing director to lead the company’s residential marketing initiatives. Caputo will work with the chief marketing officer and residential group president to build Crescent’s brand and support its growing portfolio of residential properties including 22 master-planned communities and future projects across the country.
“Crescent is taking a thoughtful approach to designing unique communities with meaningful features that today’s families want, and Paulette will play a significant role in telling that story,” said Tyler Niess, chief marketing officer of Crescent Communities. “Her extensive background with leading real estate developers will provide valuable insight for the next phase of growth at our company.”
Caputo, who has more than 20 years of experience in commercial and retail real estate marketing, brings to the team expertise in brand building and marketing strategy.
Most recently vice president of marketing for the commercial group of Forest City Enterprises, a national real estate company headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, Caputo developed and directed daily marketing operations for projects located across the U.S. While at Forest City, she helped launch seven award-winning, multimillion-dollar commercial real estate developments. Previously, Caputo spent 12 years with Urban Retail Properties Co. and its predecessor companies. During her tenure, she worked in the company’s Chicago, Ill. office as vice president of marketing/business development with the primary responsibilities of developing and maintaining its branded image and growing its third-party management portfolio. Prior to her role in Urban Retail Properties Co.’s corporate marketing department, she held a number of on-site marketing positions including marketing manager for Water Tower Place in Chicago.

Caputo began her career as an independent marketing consultant based in Boston, Mass. She holds a bachelor of science degree from Rivier College in Nashua, N.H.
