I recently attended the 2012 International Home + Housewares Show. The show focuses on consumer lifestyle and product trends for all areas of the home. I was amazed by all of the innovative products on display.

Aron, whose story is portrayed in the movie “127 Hours,” shared his story of survival at the 2012 NAHB International Builders’ Show. Like Aron, those in the home-building industry who have survived the recent downturn have one thing in common, the ability – and desire – to adjust during tough times.

From all indications, the outdoor living trend hasn’t peaked. In fact, it seems that consumers want to take even more of what they enjoy inside to the outdoors. Check out the expected popularity of various outdoor design elements.
