ROI, ROA, ROP and now ROT (Return on Thanks)

Simple courteous gestures sometimes reap the biggest rewards.

The two words “thank you” are sometimes forgotten in this era of instant and fast paced communication and delivery.

Using “thank you,” or a derivative thereof, will prove to be more powerful than you might realize.

Remember to include a sincere thanks in your communication one time today and then try it several times a day (if not more often) in your conversations (verbal, social, digital or written).

Send a “thanks,” TKX, “thank you,” “TY,” “thank you so much” or “TYSM” message today and see what kind of return you reap. The return may be measured with a smile, or a simple reply back, but it is certainly worth more.

And who knows, maybe TY or TYSF will be one of the most tweeted acronyms next week.
